Excellent work Jon. What a great opportunity to work and play music with the great Steve Morse, the "unsung hero" of millions of guitar players out there. Yrs I'm a little bit jealous! Such a highly respected musician and personality, Mr Morse. If there's one thing that I really really like about him apart from his intelligence, integrity, tenacity and talent it's his lightness and down to earth character. His positive attitude and respect for others is awesome and that can only be reciprocal. Good on ya mate, good memory to have...

Awesome Jon. I remember hearing Cruise Control from the Free Fall record while cleaning my room in high school. I stopped cleaning and played it 4 times in a row....it changed EVERYTHING. I had never been so inspired by anything in my life EVER at that time! I've met and hung with Steve several times and everything you say is true. He's the real deal. I'm just jealous...you got to pick with him! Keeewwwllll......

WOW! Great post Jon. I am so glad to hear you had such a great experience. I remember when I was so excited to play on the bill with you and the Steve Morse Band at the Channel in 1990 or so, a million years ago with the Brian Washburn Band. Awesome bro. Hope you are great!! It sounds it!

Hi Jon, thanks so much for the response. Yes, I'd buy some pieces if they were available separately, as well as I'd be interested in the separated master tracks (guitar, bass, etc...). Just saying... :P

I'm semiprofessional transcriber, I'm really interested in transcribing pieces exactly as they are. Yours would be fun! :)

Hello, I just fhensiid my second semester at Berklee and I am at around page 30 in volume three. I have a question in regards to the gratuitous amount of arpeggios Leavitt shows such as the four note arpeggio pages (starting with page 25 of the third volume). How much of this type of material was intended to be memorized? Is this material mostly intended to aid in quicker recognition of arpeggios when sight reading? In fact, this question even applies to the arpeggios he goes through in volume 2. I feel like just studying these pages won’t lead to any real success in using these arpeggios and other material such as the triad chords of volume 2, so how should one apply this stuff?
