Welcome to jonfinn.com, your home for information about Jon Finn and his band, the Jon Finn Group. Jon is a teacher at Berklee College of Music, guitarist for the world-renowned Boston Pops, and author of several books for Mel Bay Publications. Jon is considered to be "Boston's premier guitarist," mostly because he figured out how to dance the waltz in 15/8 time.
Jon has written three books, one of which contains an instructional DVD. He has also released two albums and performed on many others, including Grammy-Award-winning titles by The Boston Pops. In his spare time, Jon commandeers a boat, bends steel with his bare hands, and grows long hair.

New Album
Jon is currently writing music for a new album, tentatively called Bull in a China Shop. The last Jon Finn Group album, Wicked, was released in 1998. The JFG is now focused on writing and recording new material. Keep your eyes peeled on this site for more information as it becomes available.
